Anahata Somatic Therapy
Healing through compassion, connection, and embodied awareness
❋ On the traditional and ancestral lands of the Duwamish people past and present ❋
Anāhata is the heart center — associated with compassion, love, and forgiveness.
In Sanskrit, anāhata (ah-NAH-hah-tah | अनाहत) means “unstruck” or “unhurt,” referring to a deeper truth that arises from within. It is often understood as a bridge between our inner experience and the ways we connect and relate to others.
Associated with the element of air, Anāhata reflects breath, movement, and spaciousness—qualities that invite softness, openness, and expansion. It is connected to empathy, compassion, and emotional depth, supporting healing, growth, and more meaningful relationships.
This is the philosophy behind Anahata Somatic Therapy.
In our work together, I support you in navigating communication challenges, intimacy concerns, trauma, and sexual shame while building emotional awareness and more connected ways of relating. We may work with patterns in attachment, desire, identity, and relationships while developing tools that support connection, boundaries, and repair.

Healing is not just an individual journey—it is a collective, embodied process shaped by our histories, identities, relationships, and lived experiences
✼ ✼ ✼
I am deeply committed to offering inclusive, affirming care for people of all backgrounds through healing rooted in authenticity, intention, and curiosity.
I work with individuals and people in relationships to make sense of their experiences and build awareness of the patterns, emotions, and protective strategies shaping how you move through life. Through self-discovery and increased awareness of embodied and relational ways of being, clients learn to listen to their body alongside the mind while cultivating safety, agency, and autonomy.
My work is grounded in understanding how trauma and attachment shape our nervous system, relationships, and sense of self, often influencing how we connect, communicate, and experience intimacy. Together, we gently unpack cycles of connection and disconnection—strengthening communication, navigating conflict, repairing ruptures, and expressing needs more clearly—while reconnecting with your body and cultivating more intentional, connected ways of living and loving.
I believe our bodies hold the stories our minds learn to silence—and within them, the capacity for lasting, meaningful change.
Therapy with me offers a nourishing space to slow down, soften, and show up as you are—without expectations or pressure. It is an invitation to be met with care, grace, and compassion. In this process, you can feel more confident in yourself, reclaim your agency, create meaning in your life, and build relationships that feel grounded, connected, and empowering.

My Approach
-
Sex therapy is a space to explore intimacy, desire, identity, and relationship dynamics in a way that feels open, affirming, and non-judgmental. It’s a talk-based process where we can gently unpack patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be impacting your connection to yourself or others.
This work might include exploring communication, pleasure, boundaries, sexual concerns, or the impact of past experiences. It moves at your pace and centers your autonomy, helping you build a more authentic and connected relationship with your body, your sexuality, and your relationships.
-
Art therapy uses creative expression as a way to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. You don’t need to be an artist—this is not about skill or making something “good,” but about allowing your inner world to take shape in a different way.
Through drawing, painting, collage, or other forms of creativity, we can access deeper layers of experience, build insight, and process emotions in a more embodied and intuitive way. Art can open pathways to understanding, release, and connection that go beyond traditional talk therapy.
-
Somatic therapy focuses on the connection between your body and your emotional experiences. Instead of only talking about what’s happening, we also pay attention to how it’s felt—through sensations, breath, tension, movement, and nervous system responses.
Our bodies hold both our experiences and our capacity to heal. By slowing down and building awareness of what’s happening internally, somatic work can support regulation, deepen understanding, and create more choice in how you respond to stress, relationships, and your environment.
This approach helps you reconnect with your body in a way that feels safer, more grounded, and more attuned.
